The PingID SDK component’s multifactor authentication (MFA) can authenticate users, once their devices are paired. On each login, PingID verifies the user’s device.
In order to authenticate, a user will need to pair a device for future logins. Refer to Pair first device.
The first device that a user pairs will typically be the user’s primary device, which is their default authentication device.
If a user does not want to be limited to authenticating with only one device, they may use their primary device to authorize other devices, and thus create a network of trusted devices for their authentication. Refer to Pair additional devices.
Authorized devices, other than the primary device, are referred to as trusted devices.
