If you have already created a worker application using the PingOne Admin Console with a client_credentials grant type, and if you know your environment ID, client ID, and client secret, you can use this POST /{{envID}}/as/token request to obtain an access token. The token request uses Basic authentication. In this case, the base64-encoded client ID and client secret property values for the worker application are passed in to the Authorization HTTP header as the base64(username:password), respectively.

The request must also identify the grant_type property with a value of client_credentials in the request body.

For more information about access token requests for a Worker application, see Token Admin App (client_credentials).
